Try Something New Today

Last weekend while unpacking some stuff, I found a suet feeder I bought almost four years ago. Later that day, I bought a suet cake while I was at the grocery store of all places. I hung the feeder from a tree branch in the backyard. The tree is along a small river close to my house. It is amazing the number of birds that visited my yard this week. I was never really into bird watching. It seemed like something for old men in khaki shorts and knee high socks. I never dreamed it would be so enjoyable and relaxing. Of the birds I could identify, there were two Black Capped Chickadees and a Downy Woodpecker. The feeder is already empty, and I have gained a new hobby purely by accident.
