- Borrow ideas from Pinterest. Upcycle things you already own.
- Make your own jewelry. This is surprisingly easy and fun. There are many sites out there to help you get started.
- Buy just an accessory to update existing outfits in your closet.
- Follow the "old advice" to purchase only clothes that mix and match. I do not do this because I do not like being limited to certain colors. It is a good way though to reduce your wardrobe costs.
- Find out what days your local thrift store has reduced prices. Near me in upstate New York, Wednesdays are the best days to shop for clothes.
