Next I made a matching pair of earrings and bracelet. The large black beads I used I had purchased in Santa Fe, NM about five years ago at an outdoor market. The total cost to make the earrings was .62 cents plus my time. The three strand bracelet cost .80 cents for me to make.
After looking at Pinterest for inspiration, I made a necklace using an old washer. I painted it black with some old nail polish. Then added some bright pink polka dots. A piece of ribbon left over from my daughter's hair bows was converted into a "chain". My only cost in this project was my time.
For a grand total of $8.42, I can achieve a variety of looks. I can change up which accessories I wear with each of the tanks. I hope this will inspire you to be financially creative with your closet too.
