5 Products I Avoid

  1. Roundup weedkiller made by Monsanto -You should try using white vinegar or boiling water instead.
  2. Anything made from vinyl - This includes most shower curtain liners.
  3. Toothpaste with fluoride -  Do you know that too much exposure to fluoride can actually damage your teeth? Did you know that the fluoride added to our water is a byproduct from the chemical companies that make artificial chemical fertilizer? I also recommend reading the labels since many toothpastes contain sugar or similar which could contribute to cavities. By the way, a pea size is all that is needed on your brush. Commercials were produced showing models covering the whole brush to get people to use more of the product. You must remember that it is about the bottom line to these companies, and not you.
  4. Fresh vegetables wrapped in plastic - Why is this necessary? It is just waste!
  5. The difficult and final one is antiperspirant/deodorant with aluminum in it - I have found it hard to use a "natural" deodorant that works well enough for me to go out in public. Tom's of Maine has one product that seems to work okay. I tend to rotate it with a traditional antiperspirant too. You should check your baking powder for aluminum too. The build up of aluminum in the brain has been one of the factors scientists have found to contribute to Alzheimers.  I do not know if the link to antiperspirants have been proven, but I am not inclined to find out personally.
